How I came to design fictional courses, particularly those situated in Australia? Probably something to do with having been living on this continent for the past 25 years or so. OK, how did I get to live in Australia. That's an entirely different story, and it deserves a new page. If you are interested click here and you can read about it.

DESIGNED IN GBC:

ABBOT'S BRIDGE
Abbot's Bridge was my first GBC design, it was released in June 1999. It has received excellent reviews and to this day it remains one of the most popular user designed courses in GBC. According to the statistics recently released by The Course Depot, it was downloaded from that site more than 4000 times; this made it the highest placed (5th overall) fictional course, above it appeared only the real course renditions: Augusta National, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst and Cypress Point.

APPLE ISLE
The Apple Isle is how Australians often refer to Tasmania, a large island separated from the rest of the continent by the Bass Straight. When I visited the area in mid 1999, I thought that it could well use one more golf course in addition to those that it already has. The design was released in October 1999.

BOHEMIAN FOREST

Bohemian Forest was originally designed in JN5 in early 1998. This substantially improved and enlarged GBC version came out late in 1999. This fictional course is situated in Central Europe, amongst some medeaval castles and ruins.

CITADEL
Citadel was released in January 2000 and it is my first joint effort. For this project I have teamed up with DanO (D. L. Bunch), a well known designer with many wonderful courses to his credit.
Citadel is a fictional course situated on the coast of California.
