Abbot’s Bridge is a woodland/parkland fictional course, probably situated somewhere in the northern parts of Europe, though it could just as well be in Canada or even in one of the northern states of USA. Who knows?

I had begun to work on this course in February 1999, still working in the JN5 Designer, with the view of converting the course to GBC when it became available.

The final stages of work on this course were done when I had the beta version of GBC patch available, so I naturally tried to fine tune the course to play with the patch. Power driving is practically out with the patch, and the hazards were placed with that in mind. If anyone can drive over them, good luck to them, they have well earned their reward!

The second hole is a variation of the one I have created for HDC3, the next two holes were cloned from it. All the other holes are original creations. The course has a new custom horizon, altogether 76 custom objects have been used, nearly all of them of my own making. However, I have included some objects by other designers: several flowers by Brian Silvernail and Jim Critenden, also some Alan Connor’s grasses (slightly altered). I wish to express my gratitude to the above mentioned designers, also to anyone I may have forgotten (I hope I didn’t).

Special thanks to Paul O’Brien, who once more has kindly agreed to collaborate on the texture creation. I have sent him my original textures that I had considered to be rather dull and unimaginative, and back they came resplendent, as you see them in their present form. Great work, Paul!

Finally, I would like to thank the playtesters - Mikey Mac, Ironmark, Stormhound, Harmon and John Rishea!
